The meeting also examined the possibility of German support for these processes continuing in the coming years, while attention was paid to integrating the systems created with the eKosova platform.
Through a project co-financed by the European Union and implemented by GIZ, Germany has supported the implementation of the program to reduce the administrative burden. As part of this program, numerous services have been digitized and systems have been established for licensing various professions, recognizing diplomas, employment services and case management.
The program has also enabled the simplification of more than 730 administrative services at the central and local levels. In parallel, testing has begun on the delivery of public services organized around life events, with services related to the birth of a child as the first phase.
Another development mentioned during the meeting was the testing at the Tax Administration of Kosovo of the first digital assistant based on artificial intelligence.
Lulëzon Jagxhiu also presented the main directions of digital transformation, including the launch of the national electronic identification platform (eID). This platform will provide strong electronic authentication, electronic signatures and seals, as well as a digital wallet.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the minister expressed his gratitude to the German government and GIZ for their contribution to modernizing public administration and advancing digital transformation in Kosovo.
