In an Instagram post, he expressed gratitude to the citizens and supporters who traveled to The Hague and waited for hours for the ruling to be announced.
Endrit Thaçi particularly thanked those who continued to protest and express their support even after the court’s decision.
He also praised the support shown over the years for his father and other former KLA leaders during the trial.
Hashim Thaçi’s son said that as soon as he returns to Kosovo, he will join the supporters, emphasizing that the legal battle is not yet over.
“When I return, I too will be part of your voice. This battle is not over. Just as Father faced this day today with his head held high, we too will move forward with dignity, composure and our heads held high,” he said.
In conclusion, Endrit Thaçi stressed that a court ruling cannot change the history of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
“We all know our history. Our soldiers have carried it engraved on their skin, while the martyrs sealed it with their blood. No ruling can change this history,” he said.
