A police officer sustained minor injuries and two protesters were detained during a demonstration held in The Hague on Wednesday. The incident occurred after a group of participants attempted to approach the Kosovo Specialist Chambers headquarters.

Dutch police said the rally, which had been authorized by local authorities, was held at Malieveld. Although a march toward Raamweg had not been authorized, some protesters headed toward the area, where the Kosovo Specialist Chambers are located, after the protest ended at around 12:00.
The Police Mobile Unit set up a cordon to block access toward Raamweg. Tensions rose after a group of demonstrators confronted law enforcement officers, who intervened to disperse them. A water cannon and spray were used briefly, while police said the situation was quickly brought under control.
According to police authorities, some protesters used violence against officers and police equipment during the clashes. One police officer was slightly injured, while two people were arrested on suspicion of vandalism.
Meanwhile, the Specialist Chambers in The Hague have announced the verdict for former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi.
Hashim Thaçi and Jakup Krasniqi were each sentenced to 25 years in prison, Kadri Veseli to 18 years, and Rexhep Selimi to 13 years in prison.
The sentences handed down to the four former KLA leaders total 81 years in prison.
