Following the sentencing of former KLA leaders in The Hague, Albanian citizens gathered in Pristina and The Hague to protest the decision of the Specialist Chambers, which sentenced them to a total of 81 years in prison.

Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi was found guilty of war crimes and sentenced to 25 years in prison by the Specialist Chambers in The Hague. Jakup Krasniqi was also sentenced to 25 years for several war crimes; Kadri Veseli was sentenced to 18 years and Rexhep Selimi to 13 years in prison.
