The Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague found four former KLA leaders guilty on four of the ten counts in the indictment, all of them related to war crimes.

Meanwhile, the charges of crimes against humanity were not upheld by the court.
Hashim Thaçi, Kosovo’s former president, was found guilty of war crimes and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Jakup Krasniqi also received a 25-year sentence for several offenses related to war crimes. Kadri Veseli was sentenced to 18 years, while Rexhep Selimi received a 13-year prison sentence.
This is a first-instance ruling and may be appealed.
