A large number of Albanians have gathered near the building of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, one day before the verdict is announced for the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

On September 16, the verdict is expected to be made public for Kosovo’s former president, Hashim Thaçi, former Assembly speaker Kadri Veseli, former Assembly speaker Jakup Krasniqi and former lawmaker Rexhep Selimi.
To be present for this moment, citizens from Kosovo and Albanians living in various European countries have traveled to The Hague.
KLA flags have been displayed outside the building of the Specialist Chambers, while participants have conveyed messages of support for the organization’s four former leaders.
The presence of citizens in The Hague comes ahead of a day expected to attract significant attention in Kosovo, particularly from the families, supporters and associates of the accused.
The first-instance verdict will determine the continuation and fate of the judicial proceedings against Thaçi, Veseli, Krasniqi and Selimi, following a lengthy trial in The Hague.
