According to him, in the days ahead the two countries will work together for the benefit of their citizens. He singled out infrastructure investments, which, as he put it, are bringing the two countries closer than ever before.
In his message, Mexhiti described Kurti as a friend and wished him success in his new term as Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo. He expressed his conviction that Kosovo and North Macedonia would continue their fruitful cooperation, with a focus on joint projects that strengthen ties between them and on building the region’s European future.
Mexhiti also stressed that stable institutions, established on the basis of the sovereign’s will, constitute the strongest foundation for responsible, determined and courageous governance aimed at building the state on strong and lasting foundations.
At the same time, he said that the Republic of Kosovo has North Macedonia’s full support at what he described as historic moments, particularly regarding the liberation struggle on which the foundations of the independent Republic were built.
The deputy prime minister added that history has shown instances in which the law was used to produce controversial decisions, but no politically influenced decision can change historical truth. According to him, no authority can undo through a legal act what a people has achieved through sacrifice and selflessness.
