As she was entering the Kosovo Assembly building, Kryeziu-Hyseni explained why LVV has changed its position regarding the voting of Vlora Çitaku and Kujtim Shala for deputy speaker posts.

She said she hopes the opposition parties will reconsider their stance and that the Assembly constitution process will proceed.

“I hope the opposition parties will change their position and we can move forward with the constitution of the Assembly. The Vetëvendosje Movement has acted the same way as during these last two years, taking steps to help unblock the situation created by the continuous blockade of these opposition parties. I hope the MPs will be present in the session today. After all, the court ruling determines their participation in the vote as an obligation, so that we can constitute the Assembly and proceed with other processes,” she stated.

According to her, discussions were held within the LVV parliamentary group regarding the names proposed by the two political parties. After these discussions, the LVV leadership decided to support both candidates, with the aim of ending the blockade.
