For more than three hours, members of the diaspora have continued to remain in the square, while also surrounding the Prime Minister’s Office building.
Protesters, equipped with national flags, drums and Albanian symbols, are calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
“All of Albania is with us,” “Rama, go,” “Resignation” and “Your end has come” are some of the chants heard during the gathering.
The protesters accuse Rama of leading a government embroiled in corruption scandals and of misgoverning the country.
