Although he had not announced it earlier on social media, Braçe was at 5:30 p.m. this Friday in the Irfan Tomnini neighborhood, which he described as the poorest but most dignified neighborhood in Unit 5 and Tirana.
In a statement on social media, the MP outlined the problems residents raised during the meeting.
Braçe’s full post:
Two hours and 35 minutes spent listening to people in the poorest but most dignified neighborhood in Unit 5 and Tirana.
Residents raised various concerns, mainly personal ones, but also issues affecting the community.
The problems began with order and public safety and extended to cleanliness, which leaves much to be desired in this area as well.
One concern he had not expected was the classification of legalization cases as a personal problem. According to the residents, the work had been done very well, and the claim that Erion Braçe was lying merely to attract attention and appear prominent did not hold water.
These are houses that were built 30 years ago.
Meanwhile, regarding the waste in Selitë, Braçe said he was unable to show residents the photos and videos of those who had dumped it.
He explained that immediately after his post, the Tirana Police had gone to the Selitë Substation and obtained footage from the camera covering the square where the pile of waste had accumulated.
The footage contains the license plates of the vehicles and the faces of the people involved in this environmental crime.
Braçe said that the following day he would ask the State Police what stage the investigation into detaining those responsible had reached, raising the question of whether the camera footage had been obtained precisely for that purpose.
