The suspected perpetrator of the triple murder in Montenegro was located by police in a wooded area above the Topla neighborhood in Herceg Novi. When police intervened, 30-year-old Russian national Mihail Sabunjin opened fire on officers and then shot himself in the head.

The news was confirmed to “Vijesti” by Montenegro’s Police Director, Lazar Scepanovic, who said the suspect had been located by special forces and other specialized police units.
According to him, police forces managed to locate and isolate the suspect in the forest above the Topla area. When police attempted to arrest him, he fired at the officers and then shot himself.
The 30-year-old is suspected of carrying out a triple murder the previous day at a shooting range in Danilovgrad.
The victims have been identified as 20-year-old Nemanja Kapor from Podgorica, 24-year-old Petar Globarevic from Podgorica, and 67-year-old Momir Radonjic from Danilovgrad. All three worked at the shooting range where the incident occurred.
