Enver Haliti, a deputy from the Vetëvendosje Movement, said that meetings with the Democratic League of Kosovo are continuing in an effort to overcome the parliamentary deadlock, and that the two sides are close to reaching a solution regarding the country’s new president.

According to him, reaching a consensus on a specific candidate would pave the way for a swift resolution to the current blockade in the Assembly.
“It appears that the talks with the LDK are on a positive trajectory, and we are moving toward an agreement on Kosovo’s president,” Haliti told the media.
The deputy stressed that once an agreement is reached on a joint candidacy, the entire process of establishing the state institutions will be finalized within a very short period.
“Once we have an agreement on a particular person, all the institutions will be fully constituted within a short time,” he added.
