The presence of Natalie Harp, an adviser to the U.S. president, has attracted increased attention because of her apparent closeness to Donald Trump, fueling rumors of a possible intimate relationship between them.

The rumors have prompted a strong reaction from the administration, while sources inside it suggest that Melania Trump is also upset by the situation.
Thirty-five-year-old Harp has held various positions alongside Trump since 2018. She has publicly expressed gratitude to the president for the support she claims she received during her battle with bone cancer. Harp has also discussed laws that allow patients with terminal illnesses to try experimental therapies, although some of her statements have been called into question.
Rumors of an extramarital affair resurfaced after comments by Georgia Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff, who on August 16, during an election campaign, mocked Trump’s close professional relationship and frequent travels with Harp.
A source close to the White House claimed that “the First Lady does not approve of this situation” and added that the president himself is irritated by the speculation about his private life.
The White House administration responded sharply, describing Harp as one of the president’s most dedicated and hardworking aides.
“Natalie Harp is one of the most loyal and tireless members of President Trump’s team. Nobody cares what this loser says,” said White House spokesman Davis Ingle.
Meanwhile, Communications Director Steve Cheung called Ossoff “the biggest loser on the political stage,” attacking him fiercely.
When asked about the speculation, Trump avoided giving a direct answer about his relationship with Harp and instead lashed out at Senator Ossoff, whom he compared to the television character Pee-wee Herman.
Attention has also focused on the dynamic between Melania Trump and Harp. According to author and biographer Michael Wolff, Harp was one of the people who supported the project for a new ballroom, which resulted in the demolition of the East Wing.
“Sources inside the White House claim that Natalie was among those who pushed forward the idea of the ballroom and the clearing of the East Wing,” Wolff said during a podcast.
Reports by The Wall Street Journal indicate that Melania Trump had expressed reservations about demolishing that part of the building and had informed staff that she did not bear responsibility for the decision.
