Two people wanted by North Macedonia and INTERPOL arrested in Durrës

Two people wanted by the authorities of North Macedonia for serious criminal offenses were arrested in Durrës as part of the international operation codenamed “Fury,” Albania’s State Police announced.

In its initial statement, police published only their initials, while according to ABCNews.al, the arrested individuals are 26-year-old Musa Xhavit from Skopje and 34-year-old Shenasi Nuredini, born in Norway.

INTERPOL had issued international arrest warrants for them, as they are wanted by the authorities of North Macedonia for the criminal offenses of murder, injury, illegal possession of weapons, and committing criminal acts as part of a criminal organization.

Albanian police also said that during the search of the two detainees, identification documents suspected of being forged were seized.

“The documents are suspected to have been used to travel outside the Republic of North Macedonia, with the aim of evading the justice system in that country,” the official State Police statement said.

The two arrested individuals are expected to undergo extradition procedures to North Macedonia, in cooperation with judicial authorities and INTERPOL./INA/
