Kosovo’s National Border Management Center announced that long lines of vehicles formed this Saturday at the Morina border crossing, on a day when a nationwide protest is set to be held in Tirana.
According to the announcement, queues at the exit from Kosovo reached up to 3.5 kilometers, while the cause of the delays is the procedure for registering citizens’ entry by the Albanian authorities.

“We inform you that today, from 04:00 onward, long queues of approximately 3.5 kilometers have been created at the exit from the Republic of Kosovo, as the Albanian authorities are registering the entry of citizens,” the Border Management Center said.
So far, there has been no official reaction from the Albanian authorities regarding the reasons for these checks or delays. Meanwhile, the waits at the border have affected citizens traveling to Albania, both to take part in the protest and for other reasons.
