An arrest warrant has been issued by Monaco authorities for the person suspected of organizing the bomb attack on a Ukrainian businessman several days ago, and Interpol has also been engaged in efforts to apprehend the suspect.
The prosecutor’s office in Monaco announced that “an arrest warrant has been issued against the suspect, who will be the subject of an Interpol red notice.”

As Reuters reports, the request for an Interpol “red notice” aims to secure the suspect’s arrest wherever they may be. However, this instrument does not in itself constitute an international arrest warrant, but serves as a request for cooperation between police authorities.
Monaco authorities confirmed they have succeeded in identifying a suspect in the investigation into the attempted attack, which took place on Monday evening and left three people injured.
Monaco’s Attorney General, Stéphane Thibaut, praised the work of the security structures and international cooperation, stressing that the suspect was identified in a very short time.
According to him, the explosive material had been placed in a bag or package, which was left near the entrance to the building.
French media, including Le Figaro, report that the main suspect is a woman in her thirties, captured by security cameras as she left the scene wearing dark clothes and a black hat.
According to suspicions, she had remained for a long period on a bench opposite the building where the explosion occurred and then placed the explosive device before leaving in the direction of Beausoleil, a French area near the border with Monaco.
Although the authorities have not officially confirmed who the target of the attack was, sources close to the investigation mention 58-year-old businessman Vadim Ermolaev, a Cypriot citizen, as one of the possible targets, along with his family members.
Ermolaev has lived in Monaco since 2021 and in December 2023 was placed under sanctions by Ukraine for his business activities in Crimea.
His son is receiving treatment at a hospital in Nice, while the two adults have been admitted to the city’s university hospital. Reports say one of the injured is in critical condition, while the other is out of danger.
The authorities also said that around 50 firefighters and dozens of police officers were involved in the emergency operation.
Investigators are examining several leads, including possible conflicts that may be linked to online fraud networks and suspicious business activities in Ukraine and beyond.
According to various sources, the businessman’s son had previously been involved in cases linked to call center networks suspected of investment fraud, however so far there is no official confirmation of any direct connection to the incident in Monaco.
Authorities stress that the investigation is continuing and that there is still no final conclusion regarding the motive for the attack.
