High temperatures affecting Albania, according to the Institute of Geosciences, are creating a fire risk in part of the country, mainly in forested areas.
Meteorologists forecast the highest risk on Friday in the southwest of Shkodra County and the northeast of Fier County. Meanwhile, in the rest of Shkodra, Lezha, Durrës and Fier, the fire risk is expected to be more moderate.

Tirana, Elbasan, Berat, Vlora and Gjirokastra, according to meteorologists, face a lower risk of being hit by fires.
Forecasters predict that thermometer readings on Friday will reach up to 34 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures will also remain high, and are expected to climb to as much as 22 degrees. This means we will not feel the expected coolness either in the morning or in the evening.
Rainfall will also be present on Thursday afternoon and throughout Friday. It is expected to be light to locally moderate, accompanied by thunderstorms in Shkodra, Kukës, Dibër, Elbasan and Korça. In the rest of the territory, isolated light rainfall is also possible.
