Regarding this incident, more details have been revealed about the violence used against the analyst Ilir Demalia, who suffered injuries to his eye. It is reported that Ilir Demaliaj declared to police that he was assaulted as soon as he left his apartment in Tirana.
According to the complaint, Demalia claims that the perpetrator was a local resident who had accused him of informing the police in order to fine parked vehicles.
Meanwhile, police say they have identified the suspected perpetrator and have declared him wanted, while investigations continue to fully clarify the incident.
In addition, the vehicle used by the suspected perpetrator has been blocked and seized.

Today, on 01.07.2026, around 12:00, on “Çamëria” Street, it is suspected that, for weak motives, journalist I. D. was punched and transported to hospital to receive medical assistance.
Immediately after receiving the notification, police services went to the scene and, thanks to rapid investigative actions, it was possible to identify the suspected perpetrator, R. S., who has been declared wanted. Intensive work is continuing to locate and apprehend him.
As part of the procedural actions, the vehicle used by the suspected perpetrator has been blocked and seized.
The investigative team, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, continues its actions to fully document the legal circumstances of the incident.
