A 35-year-old man has been arrested by Tirana Police during the anti-drug operation codenamed “Implikimi,” after he was caught with large quantities of cocaine and cannabis, which he is suspected of possessing for sale.
According to official information, citizen Erald Tafani was stopped near a holiday facility in the village of Bërzhitë. During a personal search and a search of his home, police found and seized 833 grams of cocaine, 576 grams of cannabis sativa, 930 euros suspected to have been obtained through criminal activity, as well as his vehicle.

Preliminary investigations have raised suspicions that the 35-year-old had obtained these narcotic substances to distribute them mainly in the Bërzhitë area and in Student City.
The operation was carried out by specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section, as part of Tirana Police operations targeting criminal activities linked to the supply and sale of drugs in various areas of the capital.
In its statement, police said that the anti-drug operation “Implikimi” led to the arrest of citizen E.T., 35, a resident of Tirana, who was caught in Bërzhitë carrying these quantities of narcotic substances with the intention of selling them.
According to police, 833 grams of suspected narcotic substance cocaine, 576 grams of suspected narcotic substance cannabis sativa, and 930 euros suspected to have been obtained from drug sales were seized as material evidence, together with the arrested man’s vehicle.
The case materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further action, while investigations continue to fully clarify the suspected criminal activity.
