The 26th consecutive protest against the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama, held this evening in Tirana, has come to an end.
As on previous days of protest, after the speeches delivered in front of the Prime Minister’s Office building, citizens began marching through the streets of the capital. Thousands of protesters first headed toward central Tirana and then continued the march near the Parliament building, where they stopped for several minutes.

While gathered near Parliament, citizens chanted slogans against the institution, shouting: “Parliament of crime!” and “Illiterate parliament!”
The march then continued toward Elbasan Road and further on toward the “Air Albania” stadium, where protesters kept up their chants against the prime minister and the political class. “Rama resign!”, “Your end has come!”, “Rama in prison, Berisha in prison” were some of the chants heard during the march.
The protesters also called on other citizens to join them, chanting: “Join us!”
From the area around the “Air Albania” stadium, the crowd returned once again toward the Prime Minister’s Office building, where today’s protest also came to an end.
At the close of the march, citizens repeated their chants against the prime minister, including: “Rama, Rama, f*ck you,” referring to a statement made earlier by Edi Rama.
The protesters’ main and non-negotiable demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government.
