Residents and protesters have gathered outside the Kosovo government building, awaiting a joint press conference by Donika Gërvalla and Xhelal Sveçla.
The press conference by the justice minister and the interior minister is scheduled to begin at 09:00. Protesters are demanding justice and institutional accountability over the killing of Arlinda Zekaj in Vitomiricë, Peja.

The previous day, the Prime Minister’s Office announced that it had received detailed reports from the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs on how the victim’s case had been handled.
The statement said the documents would be analyzed to determine whether there had been any shortcomings, negligence, failure to act or possible institutional responsibility.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Gërvalla and Sveçla will present their positions on the reports and outline the next steps.
As the press conference is about to begin, protesters remain outside the government building, demanding that the institutions responsible for handling the case be held to account.
The killing of Arlinda Zekaj has sparked numerous protests and reactions across Kosovo in recent days.
