Gërvalla on the Arlinda case: Prosecutor refused to open a case over Albert Sylaj’s threats

Justice Minister Donika Gërvalla and Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla held a press conference to discuss the killing of Arlinda Zekaj.

Gërvalla said that, according to a report, the Prosecution had refused to open a case over threats made by Albert Sylaj, the person who killed Arlinda.

“The Prosecution was aware of the violence and threats against Arlinda Zekaj. Prosecutors were kept informed about developments in the case. On October 23, two days before the killing, the chief prosecutor was also notified in writing.

According to the documentation, the prosecutor in charge had refused to open a case over the threats,” Gërvalla said.
