He also expressed his condolences to the family of Arlinda Zekaj, stressing that he understood the pain she was going through.

Leonard Ademaj: Our women, sisters and mothers must be protected

“Although this hearing concerns our sister, I want to extend my deepest condolences to Arlinda Zekaj’s family. We understand their pain. What was seen today at the hearing was not appropriate for you, for us, or for the people following us. Today, the court could have told the truth by showing the media and the public that we protect our women, sisters and mothers,” he said.

Ademaj emphasized that the family expected the defendants to receive life sentences.

Ademaj: We expect a life sentence for Naim Murseli

“We expect the sentence to be life imprisonment for both Naim and Granit. We very much hope that Kushtrim will also receive the same punishment—a life sentence,” he said.

In conclusion, he thanked the media for their continued support for the family and said that the fight against femicide must end once and for all.

Liridona Ademaj was killed in November 2023 on a road in the village of Bërrnicë, Pristina. According to the verdict issued on April 21, 2026, the Basic Court in Pristina sentenced Naim Murseli and Granit Plava to life imprisonment, while Kushtrim Kokalla was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
