SDSM today accused the government of once again neglecting workers, farmers and citizens through its new budget rebalance. According to the party, there is no funding for a minimum wage of 600 euros, measures to protect living standards or support for farmers. “Instead, citizens and future generations will face new debts and high interest rates,” the statement said.
SDSM says that in two years, Mickoski has added 4 billion euros in new debt to the country, an amount equal to half of the total debt accumulated from independence to the present day. The party claims that this money is not going to citizens, but to criminal tenders.

“The thief has abandoned the citizens,” SDSM said, adding that people have been left to face the crisis alone for an entire year, while Mickoski has rejected the measures proposed by the party.
The party notes that prices are rising every month, while wages are not enough to cover the cost of living. Since January, the cost of living has increased by 4,000 denars, while the October union basket has exceeded 70,000 denars. Including rent, expenses reach almost 90,000 denars, and even three minimum wages are not enough to cover the basic consumer basket.
“Workers spend the entire month at work, yet still cannot afford their family’s basic needs,” SDSM said in its statement.
According to figures presented by the party, around 180,000 workers earn less than 31,200 denars, while the minimum wage remains 26,000 denars. SDSM says Mickoski has no money for these workers.
“Further increases in electricity and heating prices are being warned of, while plans are being prepared in Europe because of the risk of rising food prices,” the SDSM statement concluded./Telegrafi/
