The death toll from Israeli airstrikes on a village in southern Lebanon has risen to at least 11, Lebanese state media report.

Nine of them were killed when a strike destroyed a three-story home in Kfar Rumman shortly after midnight. According to reports, two children were among those killed.
Another strike, which hit a vehicle, killed two paramedics, Lebanon’s National News Agency said. The Israeli military said it was reviewing reports regarding the casualties and the strikes.
The latest strikes occurred a day after seven people were killed in Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon. Israel said the action was in retaliation for Hezbollah drone attacks against Israeli troops in occupied areas.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun described the situation as a “dangerous escalation” and warned that the developments could threaten the US-brokered ceasefire reached in June, an agreement aimed at ending the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
