A Montenegrin national, identified as D.B., 36, has been arrested by Macedonian police after a blatant traffic violation on the A1 motorway.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Interior, the incident occurred on July 13, 2026, at around 11:09 a.m., in the area of the village of Miletkovo, near Gevgelija. Police from the Strumica and Gevgelija stations, during radar monitoring, recorded a BMW with Montenegrin licence plates travelling at 205 km/h on a section where the maximum speed limit is 120 km/h.

Following the detection of the violation, a public prosecutor from the Gevgelija Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed of the case and the appropriate charges were filed against the driver.
