Ilirjana Kuçana, a member of the Democratic Party, has called on Flamur Noka not to continue in the race for the post of Secretary-General, leaving room for a new face as part of efforts to refresh the political force.
According to Kuçana, the example to follow is that of Edi Paloka, who withdrew from the contest to make room for a new candidacy.

She stressed that the time has come for Mr Noka himself to take a step back and acknowledge that the way should be opened for someone who has not previously held this position, in order to send the clear signal of renewal that Democrats and all Albanians expect to hear.
Kuçana underlined that the Democratic Party does not lack figures of integrity and experience who are ready to take on new leadership roles.
“There are individuals with real political substance, with dignity—people who deeply understand and love the Democratic Party. Now is the moment for Mr Noka to come out publicly and withdraw from the race,” she concluded.
