Major Afrim Xhelili and Major Besnik Thaqi, officers of the Kosovo Security Force, have successfully completed the Advanced Command and Staff Course (ACSC) at the United Kingdom Defence Academy in Shrivenham.
As part of this programme, they also obtained a Master’s degree in Defence Studies from King’s College London.

According to the KSF’s announcement, the Advanced Command and Staff Course aims to educate and develop mid- and senior-level leaders for command and staff responsibilities at the operational and strategic levels.
The programme prepares officers to plan and lead complex military operations, cooperate with government institutions and international partners, and effectively use the instruments of national power to help preserve peace and security around the world.
More than 240 participants from Great Britain and 47 other countries around the world took part in the programme.
“The participation and graduation of our officers from the United Kingdom Defence Academy demonstrate Kosovo’s professionalism and continued commitment to building a modern and well-prepared army in line with the highest international standards,” the announcement said.
