More than two hours have passed since talks began between caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the head of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, regarding the process of electing the country’s new president.

The discussions began at around 4:00 p.m. and are still ongoing, with no clear outcome.
The meeting follows Abdixhiku’s statement yesterday, in which, after consultations with his parliamentary group, he announced that six LDK lawmakers had expressed their opposition to a possible agreement with the Vetëvendosje Movement.
It is still unclear what result this latest effort at dialogue will produce.
