Two injured after explosion of an unknown object at train station in Augsburg

An explosion was reported at the main train station in Augsburg, a city in southern Germany, leaving two people slightly injured, police said.

According to Bavarian state police, the incident occurred in the corridor of a building. Police forces arrived at the scene immediately, cordoned off the area and closed roads near the station.

The object that caused the explosion remains unidentified. Augsburg is located about 55 kilometers from Munich.
