The focus of the enhanced cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and the State Audit Office is the prevention and detection of irregularities, fraud and corruption.
For the first time in the country, a national examination will be organized to obtain a certificate as an authorized internal auditor in the public sector.
According to Dimitarieska-Koçoska, raising the professional standards of auditing will help ensure that public funds are managed more efficiently, lawfully and responsibly.
She underscored that these actions are part of reforms aimed at strengthening financial control and aligning it with European standards, within the framework of Chapter 32 – Financial Control.
