Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the latest economic measures taken by the United States against Iran. The Israeli prime minister said that targeting countries and companies that cooperate with the Iranian regime increases pressure on Tehran.

Speaking at the Binyamin Regional Council in the West Bank, Netanyahu described the decision as a significant development. He stressed that Donald Trump’s administration did not act directly against Iran this time, but instead chose to economically punish the parties supporting it. “What President Trump did was tighten the noose around Iran,” he said.
According to Netanyahu, during his latest visit to Washington, he presented Trump with three options for addressing the Iranian issue: reaching an agreement, launching another military campaign, or intensifying economic pressure.
The Israeli prime minister said the US president chose the economic pressure option, and that the latest measures once again confirm this position.
At the same time, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned that new sanctions would be imposed on countries that refuse to sever economic ties with Iran.
Netanyahu stressed that “the challenge posed by Iran is not yet over,” adding that he remains determined to ensure that Tehran does not once again become a threat to Israel.
