KFOR mission commander Major General Özkan Ulutaş held a meeting in Pristina with Brigadier General James C. Fowler, who leads NATO Headquarters Sarajevo.

The meeting took place at KFOR Headquarters, at Film City Camp, and focused on the security situation in the region.
During the discussion, Major General Ulutaş once again emphasized KFOR’s commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents of Kosovo, at all times and in an impartial manner. He also presented the mission’s activities and its main priorities.
KFOR continues to fulfill the mandate established by United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, adopted in 1999. The mission aims to contribute to creating a secure environment for all people living in Kosovo, as well as guaranteeing freedom of movement.
To carry out this mission, KFOR operates continuously and impartially, working closely with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX). Coordination takes place in accordance with the roles these actors have in responding to security issues.
