He is considered a member of a criminal structure led by Jetmir Pepa, involved in trafficking narcotics across borders.
Immediately after arriving in the country, the defendant will be presented before the Special Court to reassess his security measure. Following a random electronic selection, the draw assigned magistrate Alma Kodraliu to preside over the hearing.
The panel is expected to examine whether to uphold the previously issued “prison arrest” order or impose a more lenient measure on Vuka.
The Special Prosecution has documented that the criminal organization extended its activity to several countries, including Latin America, Belgium and the Netherlands.
According to investigative data, the illegal activity is linked to at least eight cases of trafficking massive quantities of cocaine, carried out during the period 2019-2021.
According to SPAK’s calculations, group members are suspected of having transported a total of about 7.5 tons of this narcotic substance from the Latin American continent to European markets through several separate operations.
Meanwhile, investigations continue under the supervision of prosecutor Alfred Shehu, with the aim of fully uncovering the suspected criminal scheme and determining the individual responsibilities of each of those implicated.
