Despite rejecting Prime Minister Edi Rama’s invitation to engage in dialogue, young people, students and citizens continue their protest in the square outside the prime minister’s office.
Tensions remain high. Large numbers of State Police officers, along with Rapid Intervention Force (FNSH) troops, have been deployed opposite protesters calling for the government cabinet to resign and for the repression to stop.

Despite the heavy presence of uniformed officers and continued pressure on Tirana’s main roads, the young protesters refuse to leave. The area outside the government headquarters thus remains the main center of civic resistance.
