An operation to demolish an unauthorized structure being built as a “beach bar” in the Karaburun area was carried out on Wednesday afternoon. State Police General Director Skender Hita and Chief Inspector of the National Inspectorate for Territorial Protection (IKMT), Afrim Qendro, took part in the operation.

The wooden structure was being built by individuals identified by the initials O. Sh. and S. D. They had previously faced criminal proceedings, while the deadline set for the voluntary demolition of the structure had expired.
As part of the operation, police arrested S. D., one of the builders. Meanwhile, his partner, O. Sh., was declared wanted, and the authorities are working to apprehend him.
Speaking to the media, Hita and Qendro urged citizens not to undertake unauthorized construction, warning that anyone who violates the law will face its full force.
The Vlorë Local Police Directorate is continuing its investigation to identify and bring to justice other individuals who may have allowed or issued permits in violation of the law.
