A farmer from Samatica in Berat, hit by the January floods, said he returned from emigration 16 years ago with the aim of investing in greenhouses, but ended up suffering major losses and now considers that decision his greatest regret. He also said that he has still not received any compensation or any IPARD funds.
“I am from Samatica in Berat, where we have been flooded twice, by the dams, because the state does not protect us. I have not received compensation or IPARD funds, which is why we are coming out here.
