Nationwide protest against Rama enters its 42nd day, with Albanians from the diaspora also joining today’s rally

The nationwide protest against the government continues this Saturday as it enters its 42nd day. According to the organizers, Albanians from the diaspora are also expected to join today’s rally, having long expressed support for this initiative.

The protesters’ main demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. A day earlier, they marched through several of Tirana’s main streets while chanting slogans such as: “Government of crime,” “Rama to prison, Berisha to prison,” “Albania demands revolution,” and “Rama resign.”

The march also passed through Kavaja Street, where participants stopped for several minutes at the entrance to the area known as Embassy Street.

During the rally, protesters accused the government of corruption and called for political change.

Activist Visar Dalipi, addressing the protesters through a megaphone, urged citizens who claim they have been threatened to present themselves at diplomatic missions. “All those who feel threatened and have been threatened must submit their request at the embassy,” he said during the protest.
