Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will use the NATO summit in Turkey to urge Kyiv’s allies to speed up the delivery of air defense systems, which are vital to countering increasingly intensive Russian attacks, the BBC reports.
Zelensky’s request comes after two heavy Russian missile attacks on the capital, Kyiv, in less than a week. The missiles struck residential buildings, causing the deaths of more than 50 civilians.

The summit, which is being held in Ankara on Tuesday and Wednesday, is also expected to serve as the setting for an important meeting between Zelensky and अमेरिकी President Donald Trump.
The Ukrainian president intends to argue that Russia’s latest attacks are a sign of weakness rather than strength, while calling for Russian President Vladimir Putin to be put under pressure to sit down for talks that would lead to a peace “with dignity.”
