The LDK branch in Austria, through an email obtained by Gazeta Express, has called for the holding of internal elections in the Democratic League of Kosovo, Gazeta Express writes.
This request was addressed to LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku, after the branch assessed that the result of the June 7 elections was weak and that responsibility should be taken by الجميع.

At the meeting held on July 3 in Austria, attended also by the five heads of LDK sub-branches in Austria, it was deemed necessary for responsibility to be taken, particularly by the party leadership.
“Request for general elections
Dear Mr. Lumir Abdixhiku and respected LDK presidency, below you will find the request of the LDK branch in Austria,
At the meeting held by the LDK branch in Austria, together with the chairmen of the five sub-branches, the weak result in the June elections was analyzed. During the discussions, it was assessed that it is essential for all of us to take responsibility, especially the party leadership. It was unanimously decided and requested that the LDK go to general elections and that fundamental reforms be made. At the same time, we express our thanks to Chairman Abdixhiku for his contribution so far,” the email obtained by Express states.
The call for Abdixhiku’s resignation from the post of chairman has also been made by several branches in Kosovo, including Peja, Lipjan and a branch in Prishtina. However, Abdixhiku responded to these calls by requesting the resignation of the branches of Gazmend Muhaxheri and Imri Ahmeti.
These developments had produced public internal clashes within the LDK. Nevertheless, at a meeting of the collegium of LDK branches, the majority voted against Lumir Abdixhiku’s resignation.
