After the armed clash in the center of Podujeva, in which four people were injured, residents of the town expressed regret and outrage over the incident.
According to the authorities, the incident happened at around 13:30 in the city center.

The Basic Prosecution Office in Prishtina said the suspected cause of the case was a prior dispute. It was also stated that the suspects are related as nephew and uncle, while the suspected motive in this matter is linked to a prior disagreement.
Of the four injured, three were involved in the exchange of gunfire, while one was a случайный passerby.
The injured were taken for medical treatment to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo.
The director of the Emergency Clinic at UCCK, Naser Syla, said: “They suffered serious injuries, but their health condition is stable for the moment.”
Citizen Behram Kolla described the gun incident in the middle of Podujeva’s main square as a catastrophe.

“Catastrophe, I swear to God, yes, something like this has never happened, for no reason at all, right in the middle of the square and among the people, firing Kalashnikovs, a catastrophe,” Kolla said.
Ukshin Hoti also considered the situation very disturbing, saying it is grave for a person to be afraid to go out in their own town.

“Those who act like this should not live here. I would remove them from this place, I would send them to some kind of jungle. Because in this freedom, for a person to be afraid to go out in their own place is very bad,” Hoti said.
Citizen Halim Morina expressed himself along the same lines.

“Only the blessed God has the right, because He gave us our soul and He takes it away. But the gangs that go around the city with weapons, shooting and killing, the guilty and the innocent and whoever they find on the street, what does he want? They should be eliminated, they should be, I’m not saying killed, immediately caught and sent to 30 years in prison,” he said.
