According to the investigation, the clash between the two families had started earlier. In the initial episode, Ervis Kukaj, the perpetrator’s son, had been involved in a physical conflict with members of the Kurtaj family and had used a firearm during that incident.

The investigative file shows that he later informed his brother, Emauris Kukaj, about the incident. The latter took an automatic firearm and headed to the place where the victims were.

The investigation says that he prepared the weapon for use and encouraged his father, Altin Kuka, to open fire on the two victims, resulting in their deaths.

The court concluded that the actions were coordinated and connected among the family members, and for that reason it imposed heavy sentences on all the individuals involved in this incident.
