The full statement:
The Gjirokastër Democratic Party calls on all members, supporters and citizens, without distinction, to take part in the student protest organized by the Democratic Party of Albania (PDSh).
Day: Saturday, 07.11.2026. Time: 12:00, Tirana.
Gjirokastër County is going through the most difficult period in its history! Economic hardship, mass depopulation, the abandonment of its wonderful towns and regions, territorial reform in the county and the closure of several institutions are driving southern Albania toward ruin!
Dear citizens, whether you belong to a party or not, and dear parents, we invite you all to come together and take part in this protest, showing our support for the students’ cause and for the voices of our young people. Remaining silent encourages corrupt rulers; we must stand with our students and children.
I believe in family, God, our country, democracy, and the values and initiatives of the younger generation.
Everyone’s participation matters! Thank you.
