Andin Hoti said that if institutional negligence is found in connection with the murder of Arlinda Zekaj, no one will be exempt from responsibility.
The Ministry of Labour, Family and the Values of the Liberation War, which he heads, is also responsible for Kosovo’s Centres for Social Work. Hoti said the institutions would take the necessary measures in accordance with the legislation in force.

Speaking at a roundtable organised by the Women’s Economic Forum, the minister stressed that the case must be examined thoroughly and that any potential responsibility would be addressed in accordance with the law.
“For that family, I assure you that we will do everything necessary and spare no one, within the powers of the institution I lead and in accordance with the legislation in force. I am convinced that the Government of Kosovo is also taking measures, as you know from the public discussions. Reports are being prepared and the case is under investigation because, despite the pain, we must examine it in every detail. I am convinced that every link in the chain, and any negligence or deliberate involvement, will be dealt with by the institutions in accordance with the law in force,” Hoti said.
Meanwhile, Justice Minister Donika Gërvalla and Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla have until Thursday at 18:00 to submit their report to Prime Minister Albin Kurti. The report was requested to clarify where the institutional failure occurred in the case of Arlinda Zekaj’s murder.
