The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, commented in a statement to the media on the use of police violence against students.
He called on the prosecutor to launch an investigation into the officers, accusing them of treating protesters barbarically.

Berisha called for the employees responsible to be brought to justice and for the prosecution to take possession of the plan for deploying law enforcement forces. He said that the “2500-paid assassins” who shoot peaceful protesters in the eyes, forehead or chest should also be identified, even though firearms are permitted only against the lower limbs.
