The joint electoral list of Albanian representatives aims to increase the political presence of Albanians from the Preševo Valley in the Serbian Parliament. The candidates have called on citizens to turn out in large numbers for the parliamentary elections.
Presheva Mayor Ardita Sinani described the unification of political forces as a development of particular importance for securing greater representation in Serbian institutions. She urged Albanians from the Valley, whether they are in Presheva, the Republic of Kosovo or the diaspora, to vote on Sunday, October 25, and express their democratic will.

According to Sinani, participation in the elections should serve to convey the demands of Albanians and guarantee dignified representation in the Serbian Parliament. She stressed that such representation is necessary to protect rights, affirm the position of Albanians and raise awareness of the discrimination, systematic violations and mass displacement they face.
Enkel Rexhepi, chairman of the Albanian National Council, said that Albanian voices in the Serbian Parliament could play an important role in protecting the basic rights of the Albanian minority. He called for unity and the maximum mobilization of the electorate in the Preševo Valley, while also highlighting the first-time participation of an Albanian female candidate from Sandžak.
Rexhepi said that Albanians should go to the polls and seek to secure the representation that, in his view, is rightfully theirs. High turnout is seen as the main way to give greater strength to Albanian issues and raise unresolved problems in Serbia’s institutions.
The non-recognition of Kosovo diplomas, the deactivation of addresses and the lack of investment are among the main concerns of Albanians in the Valley. For this reason, institutional representation and political coordination are considered essential to addressing these issues.
Ragmi Mustafi, an adviser to Kosovo’s prime minister, said that the Albanian Coalition, number 17 on the ballot, had extended political unity across Presheva, Bujanoc and Medvegjë, reaching every neighborhood and home. According to him, the mobilization of Albanians has reached its highest level, with the aim of sending a response to Serbia and Vučić over discrimination against Albanians from the Preševo Valley.
The unification of Albanian representation and broad citizen participation remain the main objectives of this electoral process, with the hope that the demands of Albanians will have a stronger voice in Serbia’s institutions.
