In a social media post, the embassy published footage of the US flag being raised at the official residence, describing the moment as a new step in relations between the two countries.
“A new chapter begins in Albania! The Marine Security Guard raised the American flag over the official residence as Ambassador Wendt takes office. Under President Trump, our alliances grow stronger when we stand together, share responsibilities and work toward a more prosperous and secure future for both nations,” the US Embassy in Tirana said.
