The photographs were provided by members of the US armed forces who asked not to be identified. The images document damage at a base in Saudi Arabia and two other military installations in Kuwait, showing a damaged aircraft, torn tents and destroyed huts.

“This is serious damage to our bases that the American public has not been informed about,” one of the sources told CBS News.
The same source added: “We are standing there, with our eyes closed, getting punched in the face.”

The aftermath of the attacks was also detailed in a report released on Monday by the Pentagon’s Inspector General. The document cites data from US Central Command (CENTCOM), according to which US facilities sustained significant damage from the Iranian attacks.
According to the report, hundreds of buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed at US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Jordan.

The report also states that dozens of US aircraft were damaged or destroyed.
The Pentagon document estimates that by the end of June, the war in Iran had cost Washington approximately $33.4 billion. This figure does not include the cost of repairing damaged infrastructure at US bases.
