Before the end of the year, citizens of North Macedonia will have several more days off, while October will bring two opportunities for extended weekends.

October 11, which marks the Day of the People’s Uprising, will fall on a Sunday this year. In accordance with public holiday regulations, Monday, October 12, will also be a non-working day, giving citizens a longer weekend.
Eleven days later, there will be another opportunity for a three-day break. The Day of the Macedonian Revolutionary Struggle, celebrated on October 23, falls on a Friday this year.
As a result, all citizens will have an extended weekend from October 23 to 25.
Another day off for all citizens before the end of 2026 will be Tuesday, December 8, when the feast of St. Clement of Ohrid is celebrated.
Non-working days for Catholic citizens will also include November 1, All Saints’ Day, which falls on a Sunday this year, as well as Friday, December 25, which marks Christmas Day.
