Tetovo’s Internal Affairs Sector said that yesterday, 08.09.2026, at around 9:30 a.m., officers from the Kodra e Diellit Police Unit detained R.S., 55, a resident of the village of Gajre.

According to the report, the incident occurred in the area known as “Mali Zeska,” below the village of Gajre. While clearing dry grass and shrubs from his property, the 55-year-old started a fire, which then spread across a wider area.
The flames were extinguished by the Tetovo Territorial Firefighting Unit and employees of the Forestry Enterprise. According to police, no injuries were reported.
Tetovo’s Internal Affairs Sector said that, after the case has been documented, a criminal complaint will be filed against R.S. for the offense of “causing general danger.”
